Day 66/365
Tonight I got a little overly ambitious and made homemade calzones. My daughter Loves to help me cook so I gave her a piece of dough to roll out. She noticed how with each new calzone I rolled out I would sprinkle more flour onto the counter, and soon she was doing the same.
Making the calzones took twice as long because I was constantly having to scoot her out of the way, or separate the dough...again.
By the end I noticed that she had flour everywhere, and when I saw her little feet covered in flour I almost lost it and got after her for being on the counter again after I had asked her not to be so many times.
But then I stopped myself, grabbed the camera and took a picture instead of her cute little flour covered feet.
I chose to enjoy the moment instead of ruin it for both of us. And I'm so glad I did.

A few seconds after I took this picture my sweet two year old looked at me and said, with the biggest smile on her face "You're the best mommy! Thanks for letting me help you make dinner today! It was awesome!"
And to think I was about to ruin that moment because I was worried about her feet having a little flour on them. So glad I stopped and enjoyed my sweet little girl instead of letting the mess get to me.

I love this! The four on her little foot is so sharp. And your story is so sweet.
