Day 91: Serenity Now...

Day 92
After a day like today I'm amazed I made it with having a mental breakdown.

A popular radio show host I listen to says it best. "The inmates ruled the asylum"

I put them all to bed early, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet.

"Serenity now. Serenity Now. Serenity Now."

Day ?. Visitor in the night...

Day...I'm not 100% sure, but I'll figure it out in the next post.  Whatever 1/4 of 365 is. :)

I often find that these little feet have snuck into my room in the middle of the night and the owner has made herself comfortable on the floor.

Day 82: Hide and Seek

82/365

I gave my daughter a sticker to play with and with in 3 minutes, it had disappeared.

Thinking the sticker was now stuck to the couch or a window somewhere (or possibly her baby sister)I asked her where her sticker was.

She promptly lifted up her shirt and with a big smile answered,
"Nemo's right here Mom!

Day 81: Apple a day

Day 81:

Today My baby girl was having a rough time. She just wanted to be held, but I had things to do, like cut up an apple for a snack for her siblings.
If you've ever tried to cut an apple while holding a baby, and succeeded without maiming the child let me know. I've yet to master that one...not that I've tried.
While I was cutting the apple I notice she began leaning closer and closer to the apple. So I decided to give her a taste. At first she wasn't sure about it, but within a matter of seconds she realized that it was cold and sweet and had grabbed it out of my hands.
She sat in that bumbo seat for 30 minutes while I made dinner, did the dishes and straightened the kitchen just sucking on that apple.
That apple saved my life today, and now I know what to do if I need a few minutes to use both my hands freely. Just give her an apple.

Probably should have decreased my ISO and lowered my shutter to get rid of the graininess. Oh well.

Day 80: Face in my kitchen.

Day 80
This week's theme for project 365 is faces in objects (or something like that)

At first I was like Whaat?

But then I found this friendly face in my kitchen.

Day 79: Lollipop

Day 79

We went to the peppermint place today hoping to get a tour of a candy making factory, but they changed it. So all you get to do is look through a window and watch them as they're working. The kids didn't care though. They still got to pick a candy at the end.

Yes I know her face is blurry in this last one, but I still love it. Those pigtails are just too cute. At one point she had her arms full with at least 5 different bags of candy because she couldn't decide what she wanted.

Day 78: Vanilla Bean Honey Butter

Day 78:

I put this on my waffle this morning. It tasted like eating a cookie for breakfast. Probably not something I should do often...

Day 77: Post workout me.

Day 77
I figured that four months post baby it's time to work off all the fun I had gaining weight while pregnant.
This is not the picture I originally wanted to post, but my computer won't let me pull anything out of lightroom right now, so I'm using this to complete my project.

Day 74: Salt Lake Temple

Day 74

I'm always impressed by this temple. The Salt lake temple was built by the mormon pioneers. It blows my mind that it was built in the 1800's basically by hand. It took 40 years to build. They cut granite from the mountain and brought it down to the valley.

Day 72 & 73 All Baby

Day 72 & 73

I'm catching up for yesterday and today. It's all my baby today> She's growing up so fast! I saw this little bottom shot and I had to copy it!

I just wanted to play with framing with her mobile. I didn't really care for how it turned out, but I'm posting it anyway.

I love her little hands on this one!

Day 71: Siblings.

Day 71

Ok, I was a day off. So I'm writing the correct day. :)

My Kids. The both have such big personalities. I surprised them with a Sophia doll and Spiderman doll and they zipped them in their jackets to go play in the back yard so they (the dolls) wouldn't be cold.

I love this picture!
Her eyes cracks me up!

Day 69: Snow

Day 69/365

I've been seeing everybody's amazing Macro shots of snowflakes. It makes me want a macro lens...one day.

Until then here's what I could get of Snow with my 50mm lens. If anybody has CC I would love it!

This is on my BBQ.

This is on a coat. It melted much quicker than I thought.

Day 67: Afternoon naps

Day 67/365

I thought my husband and son were hanging out, but then my son came up to me. I asked him where dad was and he said "Dads asleep. Don't worry, he won't be cold. I covered him with my blankets."

Day 66: Mommy's little helper

Day 66/365

Tonight I got a little overly ambitious and made homemade calzones. My daughter Loves to help me cook so I gave her a piece of dough to roll out. She noticed how with each new calzone I rolled out I would sprinkle more flour onto the counter, and soon she was doing the same.
Making the calzones took twice as long because I was constantly having to scoot her out of the way, or separate the dough...again.
By the end I noticed that she had flour everywhere, and when I saw her little feet covered in flour I almost lost it and got after her for being on the counter again after I had asked her not to be so many times.
But then I stopped myself, grabbed the camera and took a picture instead of her cute little flour covered feet.
I chose to enjoy the moment instead of ruin it for both of us. And I'm so glad I did.
A few seconds after I took this picture my sweet two year old looked at me and said, with the biggest smile on her face "You're the best mommy! Thanks for letting me help you make dinner today! It was awesome!"

And to think I was about to ruin that moment because I was worried about her feet having a little flour on them. So glad I stopped and enjoyed my sweet little girl instead of letting the mess get to me.

Day 65: Time for your check up.

Day 65/365

Today I overheard my daughter singing Doc Mcstuffins song "Time for your check up" in her room. I thought I'd sneak a little peak to see her playing with her new doll and doctor set.
Instead, I found my husband the subject of her checkup. They were singing the song together as she checked his heart, ears and eyes.
He's such a good dad, and she adores him!

Day 64/365: Happy Dance

Day 64/365

Recently we have started a tradition of Daddy making waffles on Saturday morning. He's a pro and his waffles are WAY better than mine and come out perfect every time.
While we make waffles we like to listen to music and dance. Today's song was "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. When you hear it you've just got to move. (Check out the video here).

Anyway, this moment happened quickly so I didn't have time to fix my camera settings. I just grabbed and started shooting. At the time I left my shutter a tad slower because I was hoping to catch some blurred movement in her dress, but I wish I had increased my shutter a tad, and shot at a smaller f stop so my husband would be in focus a bit more. Oh well. I'm just happy I caught the moment. :)

Day 63/365
Today I walked around the corner to see this. So I grabbed my camera and grabbed it. She dressed herself today. A tinkerbell pajama shirt, a hot pink, super fluffy tutu, and to top the look off?
Spider Man boots of course!

Day 62/365

Day 62/365

Is it Day 62? Either way I've missed basically a month. Luckily I have plenty of photos to get caught up on. We quadrupled the ram in my computer so now I should be ready to Roll!!

Here is my sweet baby girl. We just introduced her to real food, and she's loving it! I love her little smile! It makes me so happy. When she gets really excited she sticks her tongue out. It's so cute!
