Catching up to day 115.

Day 115

Well, I'm attempting to catch up a little bit. Life always seems to get in the way of taking pictures, but I'm trying to keep up on it. 

I started this 365 project because I wanted to improve my photography, but I wasn't sure if I would learn all that much. I've been blown away at how much I've learned in a few months! 

But even more than that, I've been able to catch moments of my kids and our family that would have all slipped away. If I walk away with anything from this it will be a year of amazing moments! 

 We went to the Disney store, she saw this and I couldn't pry it out of her hands, so I caved and bought it. I like spoiling my kids. :) She has been clutching it ever since.It's actually worked out because I've been able to use it as a way to get her to sleep in her own bed at night!  

My Dad had a full knee replacement and poor guy is now stuck with me and my kids at his house everyday helping him out. He's gone from empty nest to insane asylum. 

 I instituted chore charts a few months ago, and one of the chores is making your bed. My four year old told me he didn't need my help, and very proudly told me to go see his bed. This is what I found. Not bad. 

I found my kids quietly coloring together. I love moments like these. (I love that she's coloring Iron Man pink).

They had a blast putting stickers all over the house. This blanket, my legs, the kitchen floor, etc. I've been picking up the stickers for three days now. They keep popping up in the most random places. 

 I love these chubby legs. My sweet baby got four shots, two on each of her chunky, baby legs. She was NOT happy. But she LOVES playing with the bandaids. 

She's starting to recognize the sound of my camera and is turning toward the sound.

Day 103 and 105

I'm super behind so I'm just going to try and do two a day until I'm officially caught up. 

Day 103

We got a new book and Maddie has loved it! The pictures are beautiful. There is one in particular of a dove, and she will just sit and stare at the picture. She doesn't look at the rest of the book, just the page with the dove.

Boston's first Valentine's day party is tomorrow. His homework was to write his name on each Valentines Card. The problem was that he was used to writing his name with a lot more space than the card offered. So he would write B then O and have almost no space left, so he just wrote the other letters in what little space he could randomly find in the box. I love this boy. 

Day 104: Sweet baby

This baby is growing up a little too fast for me. She is coming up on 6 months and is my constant companion. 

I tried to get her smile, but she refused. The light was so perfect so I just grabbed my little model and shot away.

Day 102: Nitro circus

NITRO CIRCUS in VEGAS

Took a 4 month old baby...not super condusive to small children, but we made it through half of Nitro Circus before I had to step out to get her to sleep. The quietest place in the building was in the women's bathroom, so that's where we hung out. :) 

I still got to see this, along with a lot of other cool stuff! 

Day 99: I'm Batman

My four year old refuses to wear any shirt but this one lately. We're going on two and a half weeks since he's worn another shirt during the day. I force him to change it at night, but even that's a battle. 

Luckily I can semi disguise it when he goes to preschool with jackets and sweatshirts. 

Even then, the minute he walks in the door he rips off whatever covering I've made him wear so he can be Batman again.

Day 98: Vegas Baby!

Qualtrics gave us a free trip to Vegas! Flights, shows, dinners, hotel, and spa all included! Not to mention a little play money. Oh the perks of being married to a salesman.
