Little Gem

As I was going through pictures of clients getting my new site ready I found this beauty of my sister and her husband. I did a quick edit on it, and love how it turned out! It makes me want to go back and see what other pictures I've skipped over and see what I can find!

Yes, it's October. Yes, it's 65 degrees outside. But, when the city turns on the fire hydrant across from your house, of course you put on swimsuits and go "surfing"!

Maddie was so worn out after Day 1 in Disney, she laid on the couch and literally 30 seconds later she was out cold!

This was actually from our hotel room in vegas. I'd love to say they're fascinated by the lights, but they were really watching two cops arrest a guy. Gotta love Vegas.

What Husbands Do

At the top of my "Honey Do" list was fixing the sprinkler. 

I know nothing about repairs, and I actively avoid accidentally learning anything about yard maintenance so that I never have to do it. 

I loathe yard work. 

It actually works out pretty well because my husband enjoys yard work and know the basics of how to fix whatever is broken outdoors.

The only way he could see what was wrong with the sprinkler in this particular case was getting in there while the sprinkler was on.

(I'm assuming that was the only way, if you wonder why I'm assuming refer to above.)

I love that he's willing to do this for me so I never have to...or never have to pay someone to do it for me.

In the moment

My daughter and her best friend are suddenly really into tracing themselves with chalk. They spent an hour on this today. I love it. 

*Sorry about the head chop, but I don't even care.

Who knows what day.

I'm jumping back in! 

I printed off a bunch of the pictures I had taken, and it made me realize how many moments I am so glad I caught, and how many I have missed since I stopped doing this. 

So I started again, and hopefully will be able to keep up with it. 

There is something about riding a horse (or pony) that is just magical. They were in heaven the entire time. I think I know where we will be spending a lot of our summer!

They entertained each other by splashing each other in the tub tonight. It turned into an epic battle.

My son made this in preschool today. He was so proud! 

He ran around pretending like he was a duck. 

Just when you think they're too old for some things they prove you wrong. I'm so glad they do!

My little girl has a big personality. She doesn't ever do anything little. Everything she feels is big. When she causes mischief, it's big. She goes all out in everything she does and doesn't hold back.

Yes, I know it's out of order. I'm super behind and just attempting to get semi caught up. 

She had so much fun she just fell asleep in the middle of everything.

This is my son and his best friend. They have had a special bond since they first met as tiny babies. I love boys.

Day 162. Lipstick

She found a pink stamp and decided it would also make great lipstick. I think she did a pretty good job for being 2.  Can you see the cupcake stamp on her cheek? 

153: The Storm

As I was headed to pick up my son from preschool, I passed a field by our house and saw the looming storm hanging over this corn field. I turned around, ran home and grabbed my camera.

I was able to grab a picture of the contrast of the yellow field and ominous sky only seconds before the sun was covered by the clouds. 

I'm always amazed at the colors in Nature.
