5 years!!!!

5 years later

What a crazy 5 years it’s been since my last post! I’m that time we moved to Texas had a ton of adventures, including a fourth child, and moved back to Utah! We are now in a Home that we love and have tried to find the blessings as the coronavirus pandemic has swept the nation. We’ve seen a lot of tragic, and horrible things happen this year, but we’ve also seen miracles.  God’s hand in our lives and the lives of those around us has been so clear, so many times.

As the seasons change and we go into fall, we can feel the seasons changing in our family too. Our kids are older, life has both become harder and easier at the same time. We’re starting a new chapter in the place we grew up in, and are excitedly anticipating the things that lie ahead.

We pray we can continue to be resilient and rely on the Lord and his wisdom and we move forward with joy and faith. We’re excited to continue documenting our crazy journey...hopefully I can do a better job at it!

The Best of October!

Guys, I think I found a new love.
 Videography.
I can't tell you how much fun I had in this workshop and how much I learned!
October was such a fun and busy month for us, I couldn't even fit half of the videos I shot into my final project. So I took my favorites, and I guess I'll just have to make a second video of the rest.
I can't tell you how many nights I've stayed up until 4am this last week getting everything ready to put this together. Technology has not been my friend the last few days.
I really just need a new computer probably.

Anyway, here's our best from October!Click on the link and Enjoy!

Rainy Day Party

Rainy Day Party

Well, I figured since we've now moved to Texas maybe I should start this up again to keep friends and family updated...and mostly I mean flood you with pictures and stories of our kids. Let's be honest, they're why you're really here.

When I looked at the weather report this week it was 100% of rain, every day, for at least the next ten days.

Ten days of rain and being inside=crazy mom and sad kids.
So we went to Walmart and bought umbrellas and rain boots for everybody so we could play outside. Because outside=happykids=happymommy.

There was a small break in the rain today from the Texas downpour, and Maddie declared it our rainy day party and we played.
And played some more. Then a little more. And we had a blast and got soaked.

Having kids is great! Without them, I don't know how often I would splash in puddles and play in the rain.

Little Gem

As I was going through pictures of clients getting my new site ready I found this beauty of my sister and her husband. I did a quick edit on it, and love how it turned out! It makes me want to go back and see what other pictures I've skipped over and see what I can find!

A few pictures from the last week...and today...and one from a month ago at the end. :)

Yes, it's October. Yes, it's 65 degrees outside. But, when the city turns on the fire hydrant across from your house, of course you put on swimsuits and go "surfing"!

Maddie watching the parade in California Adventure

I found them in their room reading a book together. They were so happy to be in Anaheim and out of the car!

Savannah LOVED Whinnie the Pooh! She blowing him besitos!

Here is Boston about to begin his training to become a Jedi!

Fighting Darth Vader

Maddie got to meet Anna and Elsa and of course had to dress up and make friends along the way!

Meeting Captain America!

Maddie was so worn out after Day 1 in Disney, she laid on the couch and literally 30 seconds later she was out cold!

 Iron Man suits, all editions

Each of the kids got to be fitted with their very own Ironman suits!

This was actually from our hotel room in vegas. I'd love to say they're fascinated by the lights, but they were really watching two cops arrest a guy. Gotta love Vegas.

Maddie enjoying some peaches direct from our tree.

What Husbands Do

At the top of my "Honey Do" list was fixing the sprinkler.
I know nothing about repairs, and I actively avoid accidentally learning anything about yard maintenance so that I never have to do it.
I loathe yard work.
It actually works out pretty well because my husband enjoys yard work and know the basics of how to fix whatever is broken outdoors.
The only way he could see what was wrong with the sprinkler in this particular case was getting in there while the sprinkler was on.
(I'm assuming that was the only way, if you wonder why I'm assuming refer to above.)

I love that he's willing to do this for me so I never have to...or never have to pay someone to do it for me.

We've got a mover

Someone figured out how to crawl this week!
(Of course it's the same week we're going camping, but we'll take it.)

She spots the camera.
(All these shots are SOOC)
She's coming right at me!

She's coming too fast for me to really get the focus!

Hi Mom!
